Pet’s Story
We adopted Pixie in 2011 with her brothers Paws and Pepper. We had to let her go last May as she suffered from kidney disease. Pixie fell ill while her mom was away in Greece, and Dr. C took excellent care to help us keep her alive so she could say bye to mom. Pixie loved being the princess of the house, cuddling with mom, stealing anything with feathers, and especially eating treats (including human food-chips, popcorn, goldfish, yummy!). There’s still a mark on the cabinet where she would rub her head to beg for treats. Pixie had a way of making us feel as though she truly understood us. We always left her in charge when no humans were home. We miss her greatly. We know she gave her brother Pepper a warm welcome to kitty heaven last month.
